Fotógrafo alemán que residió en Perú durante fines del siglo XIX. Realizo diversas expediciones a la Amazonía tanto Peruana, Ecuatoriana e incluso Boliviana en la década de 1890. En Perú realizo diversas tomas no solo de indígenas de las selva, sino también de diversos departamentos como Lima, Junín, Loreto. La escasa información sobre Kroehle, asegura que el fotógrafo habría fallecido en 1902, en la selva.
